Concurrent Detachment from the Municipality of Anchorage and Incorporation of the Chugach Regional Borough as a Home Rule Borough

Petition Summary. The undersigned request that the Alaska Local Boundary Commission consider the accompanying petition to detach the territory described in that petition from the Municipality of Anchorage upon the terms stated in that petition and any lawful amendments or conditions, to incorporate the affected territory as the Chugach Regional Borough, a proposed home rule borough.

By signing the [petition], I certify:

  • that I am signing this petition in my own hand;

  • that I am a qualified registered voter whose principal physical residence is within the territory proposed for detachment from the Municipality of Anchorage and incorporation as the Chugach Regional Borough;

  • that the principle physical residence address listed below is my true residence address; and

  • that the information I have provided is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.

 

The signer fields below are intended to capture the information required for voter-initiated petitions under 3 AAC 110.415, including:

  • printed name,

  • physical residence address

  • numerical identifier,

  • signature, and date signed.

 

Signatures may be counted only if they satisfy applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and are submitted on forms accepted or provided by the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development.

 

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, hereby petition for the incorporation of a Chugach Regional Borough as set out in the complete petition. Further, we affirm that:

  1. We are registered voters of the State of Alaska;

  2. We are registered to vote within the proposed borough; and

  3. We have reviewed the complete incorporation petition, including all exhibits, and we understand its terms.

To give a complete and legally valid signature, you must provide the following information:​​

  • ​Principle Physical Address

  • Identifier (DOB, AK DL/ID, Voter ID, or last 4 SSN)

  • Signature

  • Date Signed
